Building Competitive Swimming Skills
Our youth swim teams provide children with valuable swimming skills that will last a lifetime. With year-round sessions, swimmers are able to build a strong swimming foundation and friendships at the same time.
The advantages of our youth swim team include:
- Swim team practices are held in warm water year-round, which is especially beneficial during the fall and winter months.
- We do not require volunteer hours from the parents.
- We do not have attendance requirements. Swimmers can attend as many or as few practices as they wish and are able to participate in our swim competitions.
Our swim teams in Irvine focus on improving swimming speed, refining the four competitive swimming strokes, and physical conditioning which help prepare students for competition level swimming. We divide participants into select groups that best match their age and ability level, creating a fun environment for all.

Drop-In Fee
- $40/drop-in/day
- Stop by any day (Monday - Thursday) to take advantage of a single drop-in session. This is a great option for anyone looking to add another day or days for a select week.
Swim Team Class Discount
- Sibling discount - 10% off each additional sibling enrolled. Discount does not apply to the first child enrolled.
- Prepay for 4 consecutive months - receive 10% off
- Prepay for 8 consecutive months - receive 20% off
Additional Information
- Swimmers can select to come up to four days per week for classes.
- If you select a one, two or three day class option you can select any single day, two day or three day combination. Once the schedule is confirmed, you must hold this same schedule for the entire month. However, you have the option to change your schedule upon renewal at the beginning of each month.
- Optional swim competitions are available to attend for an additional fee, and are held on a monthly or bimonthly basis.
- Swimmers have the option to enroll through USA Swimming under the name Waterworks Aquatics Swim Club (WASC)
- Classes will not be held during bad weather such as lightning.
- No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations or unattended practices.
- You may attend as many or as few practices as you wish.
- All swim team participants are required to bring fins and a kickboard to each practice. These can be purchased at our retail shop or elsewhere.

All swimmers must display proficiency in all four competitive strokes. Swimmers must also have a general knowledge of starts and turns.

Frequently asked questions about our swim parties.
The cost of your party will depend on several factors: the length of your party, the number of guests attending, or any special add-ons. Pricing varies by location.
Waterworks provides Deck Guards to ensure safety and to run games in the pool, as well as to help set up and clean up. Plenty of pool toys and rafts are provided to keep your guests entertained. Tables and benches are provided for the out-of-water portion of your party. Lifejackets are available for any children who are not water-safe. Invitations are available upon request. Some locations have a refrigerator available for storing food.
Yes! Invitations are available upon request.
It depends on the age of the children. For children who are 6 years old or older, we recommend a 2.5 or 3 hour party.
Parties are primarily held in the evenings on Saturdays and Sundays. Times and specific availability varies by location. The availability for parties at all locations depends on the programming for the weekend.
The children typically spend most of the party time in the water. We will reserve 45 minutes at the end of your party for cake, food, and/or presents. Our deck guards will organize and run the pool games. We will provide inflatable toys, rafts and pool noodles for the play time in the pool.
You are welcome to bring in your own decorations for your party. Our team will be happy to help you set up your decor. Depending on the location of your party, you may arrive between 15-30 minutes prior to your party start time. Our Party Coordinator will discuss this with you when they review the timeline for your event. Waterworks does not provide any party decorations.
Yes! You can bring in outside food and drinks as long as they are not in glass containers. Please speak to our party coordinator if you would like to bring alcohol.

The earliest time a party can start on a Friday is 1:00pm, and on a Saturday or Sunday is 12:30pm. The availability for parties depends on the programming for the weekend.
