Meeting Physical Education Requirements

We’re thrilled that you’ve chosen Waterworks!  We work with charter schools all over because we believe everyone should have an opportunity to learn to swim.  Waterworks Aquatics provides swim programs that meet the physical education requirements for charter schools and home schools. Our program combines learning and fun while reinforcing important water safety principles. Lessons are taught by our professional swim instructors all year long in our heated swimming pools. Getting started is easy!

Step 1: Confirm that Waterworks works with your school

Using the list below, confirm that your charter school works with the Waterworks location you plan to attend. If so, you can move on to step 2!

Click here for a list of charter schools by location

If your charter school is not listed, please contact your charter school to send us your school’s onboarding information.  This request has to come from the family and not from Waterworks as most charter schools will only initialize the process from a request from one of their families. They can send this to charterschool@waterworksswim.com. We will then review and send the requested information back to your charter school.  The vendorization process will take at least 2 weeks.

Step 2: Create an account online

Go to https://www.waterworksswimonline.com/account/login to register.  It’s quick, easy, and free!  You’ll need to enter information for your family. Please remember to add the student(s) who will be swimming to your family account, as we cannot add the approved purchase order, once received, to your account without a student listed.  Our LiveChat representatives will be happy to assist if you have any questions along the way!  Please do not create a schedule yet.

Step 3: Request a purchase order (PO) from your charter school

Once Waterworks Aquatics becomes an approved vendor with your charter school, you may then begin requesting purchase orders from your charter school for your swimmers. When requesting a purchase order, make sure you know the type of lessons you are requesting and the price for those lessons.  The price you list must exactly match the Waterworks Aquatics price sheet and must be for that service month only.  A larger package may not be split over multiple service months.  Keep in mind that the PO usually has a time frame attached to it, so ensure that you can use everything you are requesting within those service dates.  Once you request the PO and it is approved, your school will send it over to Waterworks Aquatics.
*Please note: Waterworks will not request the purchase order on your behalf.*

Step 4:  Wait for an email from Waterworks

Once we receive the PO from your school, we will review the PO for accurate pricing. Once we confirm the PO is accurate, we will put the funds onto the account you made in step 2. You will receive an email back from charterschool@waterworksswim.com once this process is complete.  Please allow up to 2 weeks for this process.

Step 5: Schedule lessons

You can now log into your account online at www.waterworksswim.com/account/login and schedule lessons for your swimmer!  Just go to “Schedule Overview” then “Schedule a Class” to pick a day and time that works for your family.  Again, our LiveChat representatives will be happy to assist if you have any questions along the way.

FAQs

At Waterworks Aquatics, we understand that you may have a lot of questions and we’re here to answer all of them. We hope that the answers we provide below offer all of the information you need.

How can I get my charter school approved to work with Waterworks Aquatics?

If you are interested in having your Charter School partner with us, please have your school reach out to us at charterschool@waterworksswim.com with their onboarding information.

How do I sign up for lessons through my Charter School?

If your Charter School is an approved partner with Waterworks Aquatics, the first step is to create an account with Waterworks Aquatics. You can do so by registering online here. Please note: If you choose to swim at a non-approved location, you will need to purchase your lessons out of pocket.

Once you have created an account, you will need to request a purchase order from your Charter School to be sent to Waterworks Aquatics. Do not schedule any lessons on your account until our accounting department has received your schools purchase order. Our team will reach out to you once we have received the purchase order. At that point, you can begin scheduling lessons.

How long does it take for a purchase order from a Charter school to be approved?

The time between when you submit a request of a purchase order to your school and when your school approves it and sends it to our accounting department can take some time and is not immediate. It is advised that you submit new requests to your school at least 1-2 weeks before your last paid lesson if you choose to renew your lessons with Waterworks.

Can anyone in my family use the purchase order toward their lessons?

No, the purchase orders are written out to specific students and only that student whose name is on the purchase order may take lessons using the Charter School funds.

How will I be notified once the purchase order has been placed on my account?

If you are a new customer (with no future schedule), our accounting department will email you directly to notify you that the funds have been place onto your account. If you are renewing your lessons, then you will not receive an email since there is no lapse in your schedule.

Are Waterworks Swim Schools located out of LA Fitness and City Sports clubs approved to partner with Charter Schools?

Yes, some of our Waterworks Swim School locations are approved with some charter schools.

Am I eligible to use discounts and promotions with funds from my Charter School?

No. Purchases made with funds from third-party purchase orders or payment authorizations are not eligible for discounts, coupons, or promotions unless specifically stated as exceptions.
